My wife and I were looking to see what trucks were available, options and prices. Luis Ponciano was very helpful, showed us a type of truck we were looking to buy. Luis cleared up definitions for the names of the cab types, as we were actually looking for the wrong type but, once that was cleared up we felt we had found what we were looking for and made the purchase. Luis explained the rebates from Lithia and GM but, also inquired about an AT&T rebate; which I had over looked. Our experience at Lithia was very good and we do expect to come back for a few of the add-ons that are available; we especially liked the bed tent cover.
We took our Chevy Cruz in to be serviced for leaking oil. We were given an estimate that it would be done the next day, but it was not completed until three days later. We had been told each of those three days that it would be done on that next day. Lithia Chevrolet needs to have more communication in their service department, and to work on having more accurate time of completion estimates. The service that was performed has held up and been effective in the few weeks since we got our car back.
If we could give 10 stars we would. Sean Freyne (service advisor) , the staff and the dealership helped us through a difficult time after having a motor vehicle accident with our truck and trailer. They allowed us to leave our trailer on their lot and even brought us electricity for a whole week while we figured out our next steps. Sean helped us find a collision repair shop which without his help it would have beens weeks before the repairs were even started. We live in Canada but if we were closer we would feel very confident buying or having a vehicle repaired in such a caring dealership.
I had an appointment for my car to get fixed and a couple days before the date, I received a call from a very nice Darcy asking me if I wanted a complimentary evaluation of my car in case I would like to upgrade to a newer model. I said sure because in fact I was thinking that it is time for me to get a newer vehicle. When I got to the service desk, very nice and welcoming and there was a note on my reservation about the evaluation just as Darcy said she would do. Kevin asked me if I wanted one and I said yes. I received a call on what the price was going to be to fix my car and that it would be done in about one hour - two hours. I came to get my car, no evaluation had been done and so I waited in the lobby for someone to come. After about 15 minutes a salesman came. I followed him out in the cold rainy weather and took cover under the awning of the building while he did his evaluation. He evaluated my car and then asked if there was something I was interested in. I said yes, and he showed me a car, I took it on a test drive and asked questions. I had been researching this particular car and was pretty much ready to buy it. The salesman was a bit "about himself", not the customer. He told me they didn't want my car but would give me up to a certain amount. I countered with an offer. He never said I will see what I can do or let me get back to you. I left not knowing if I was even going to hear from him and of course I had some wiggle room in my offer. Surprisingly he called very late that day, around 6pm and gave me a price. I said I would think about it and I would contact him the next day. I contacted him the morning of the second day and asked for a breakdown. He messaged me an answer and then said the car was gone. So that was that...no phone call advising me that someone else was interested and had I made a decision, no communication like, I am sorry, is there another vehicle I can show you. So I assume that Lithia does not need my business. After all when a customer is at my doorstep, I do everything I can to win their loyalty, and do everything to avoid making them feel like they don't matter. Some advice, put on the coffee pot, make your customers feel like you care about their purchase. Don't run them off. Make them feel good about their experience. It works!
I ordered a 2016 Volt from Lithia Chevrolet of Redding because they were the closest dealer to Oregon where I live when only California dealers could order this model. Lithia -- Mark Wecker, Vaughn LaTour, and Sheri Hudspeth in particular -- were willing to go beyond "standard procedure" and handled several unique issues very effectively. It was a completely smooth transaction, perfectly positive throughout.
