Texas Real Estate License Lookup

The Texas State Capitol and Flagsxas Legislature established the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) in 1949 to safeguard consumers in matters of real property transactions and valuation services. TREC shares staff members and resources with the Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board (TALCB), established as an independent subdivision of TREC in 1991. The Texas Legislature established the Texas Appraiser Licensing & Certification Board (TALCB) to safeguard consumers in matters of real property appraisal services.

The TREC Licensing Division ensures education and experience requirements are satisfied for the various license types. Licensing team members verify qualifications have been met before the agency issues a new license or registration to real estate brokers or sales agents, appraisers, inspectors, and easement or right-of-way registrants and process license renewals, information changes and license histories. The TALCB Licensing Division is responsible for the licensing and enforcement functions of the Board. The division comprised of two teams. The licensing team ensures education, background, and experience requirements are satisfied for appraiser and appraisal management company applicants.

The license types being issued include real estate agents and brokers, inspectors, and easement or right-of-way registrants, for both individuals and companies. Each licensee is registered with license number, licensee name, license type, issue date, expiration date, telephone, etc.
